So, you’re interested in learning French? Good choice. French is a beautiful language. Besides that, it is an official language in 29 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. There are nearly 80 million native speakers of French and about 300 million people worldwide who speak it either as a first or second language. French is being considered the second most influential language in the world after English. Not a surprise that knowledge of French can make you a more interesting candidate for a job within an international company.
French is a Romance language and therefore similar to other Romance languages, like Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. If you already speak French, it will take you less effort to learn one of those languages and the other way around.
